Massage

Massage therapy is the use of human touch to free the body from physical and emotional stress which can cause a physical reaction. Massage improves blood flow by increasing the quantity of fresh oxygen that flows to the tissues. A regular massage strengthens the immune system to help prevent disease and relax and tone the muscles which, in turn, increases joint flexibility.

The types of massage that are recommended to promote relaxation and remove stress are Swedish and Hot Stone Massage.

All of these types of massage therapy require you to wear minimal clothing so that the therapist is able to make the necessary skin to skin contact and application needed. A combination of techniques is also used in the massages.

Be sure to inform your Therapist of any medical condition before the massage in case there is a conflict with the method used and / or accessories. This is best for all massages.

Swedish Massage

Swedish MassageSwedish massage is the most common massage in the world, it uses a mixture of hand to skin techniques to activate the circulation of the blood and liquids in the muscles and uses five styles of long, flowing strokes and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil to massage.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person’s mood, cognitive function or health. The massage therapist can select oils that are relaxing, energizing, stress-reducing, balancing, etc. One of the most common essential oils used in aromatherapy massage is lavender.

Rebalancing Deep Tissue Massage

Rebalancing Deep Tissue Massage utilizes a combination of Deep Tissue Massage, Joint Release and Energy Balancing to counteract chronic holding patterns that contributes to pain and illness. This means that deeper, more specific work is possible in the session, thus enabling a deeper penetration into the muscle tissue layers. A deeper relaxation of muscles and joints is facilitated.and targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.

Hot Stone Massage

In a Hot Stone Massage the Massage Practioner uses special stones such as Basalt or Himalaya stones covered in massage oil that are heated to massage the body. The smooth surface of the stone will prevent damage to the skin. The hardness of the stones allows the therapist to address specific problem areas with more detailed work.

Kahuna Massage

The Kahuna massage originates from the Hawaiian islands where it has been practiced for over 5000 years by the mysterious South Sea island kahunas or native priests, Ka Huna massage (also known as Lomi-Lomi) is known in Hawaii as ‘loving hands massage’ . It is a full body massage using long rhythmical strokes, breath, and movement, which assists the person to relax, rejuvenate and heal.

Thai Yoga Foot Reflexology Massage

Although this massage is sometimes called a foot massage, it is more than simple foot massage. Thai Yoga Foot Reflexology is based upon ancient Chinese Foot Massage Techniques using the hands, thumbs and knuckles as well as the usage of the Wooden Reflexology stick aided by massage cream and oil for stimulating areas of the foot corresponding to organs in the body.

Reiki Treatment
